Aerobics

Aerobics is the name of a physical fitness programme created by Dr Kenneth Cooper, a former USAF flight surgeon. He took the term from the adjective "aerobic," which means living on free oxygen and comes from the Greek words for "air" and "life".

Cooper popularized the physical program in his books Aerobics (1968) and The Aerobics Way (1977)

Deep breathing gives you health benefits similar to aerobics.

Jane Fonda was a skilled ballerina until she broke her foot in 1978 and had to give it up. To stay in shape, the actress took up aerobics. This lead to the 17 million-selling Jane Fonda's Workout video series.

The actress Angela Lansbury released her own workout video in 1988 called Angela Lansbury’s Positive Moves.

Icelandic writer, producer and actor Magnus Scheving, the creator and star of Lazytown, made a bet with a friend where each has to master a sport of the other's choosing that he knows absolutely nothing about in three years. Scheving was given aerobics. He became a national and international champion shortly after.

The Grenadier Guards (known for guarding the British royalty) traditionally do "fancy dress aerobics" before big parades.

There is a basketball court above the actual supreme court room aptly named "The Highest Court in the Land". Sandra Day O'Conner hosted aerobics classes up there.

  2. My favorite exercising patterns are aerobics only. Overall strengthening and best regime for weight loss. Bought amazing and comfortable beyond yoga clothes also. Their fabric was cool enough and bends were great at knees and waist. Liked the side lines pattern the most. My friend also shopped the same.
