Classical Music

The term "classical music" was not used until the early 19th century. People then started talking about classical music in order to praise the great composers such as Bach, Beethoven and Mozart.

The first telecasts of classical music in the United States, under Eugene Ormandy and Arturo Toscanini, were given on CBS and NBC in 1948.

Classical music is effective at dispersing loitering teens from retail and transportation hubs. The tactic has been used in American cities like Dallas, Seattle, and Portland and in countries like Australia and the U.K.

Studies have shown that classical music helps cows produce more milk.
