Gender

In Old English, 'man' was a gender neutral term. Males were known as 'wermen' and females were known as 'wifmen'.

There are roughly ten million more baby boys than girls born worldwide each year.

There are 984 females for every 1,000 males in the world.

According to a 2013 report, there are 20 million more men in China than there are women.
